It's the mid-60's in the Midwest. In a the living room of a small bungalow in southern Wisconsin a sports loving grandfather and his grandson discuss basketball nightly - especially their red hot local high school team, the Monroe Cheesemakers. As the season unfolds these two share a special love and affection not only for each other but also for the Cheessemakers.
Follow the Cheesemakers as they pursue an improable run to schoolboy basketball immortality during the 1965 state tournament. Along the way, you will also learn a lot about teamwork, basketball fundamentals, and what it takes to have a championship caliber athletic team. This true story is told as a fictional script dialogue between Gramps adn Herby Junior, true Monroe High School Cheesemakers.
